Pangu iOS 10 Jailbreak Alternatives: Repos Allow Limited Personalization

A relatively large group of Apple users have been holding on to the promise of an iOS 10 Pangu jailbreak tool, but have not been given that particular holiday gift. There are a handful of other options out there, if customization is what one is after. However, unlike a full-fledged jailbreak tok, the current repos are simple and quite limited.

According to Morning News USA, there are at least three repos that users can easily get their hands on while waiting for the iOS 10 jailbreak from Pangu. This includes Karen's Pineapple Repo, Lux Repo and Coolstar Repo. Though these three items cannot give the same full effect as a total tool from the famed hacking group, it does allow users to adjust and personalize their devices.

Karen's Pineapple Repo, for example, allow a user to tinker around particular appls. Meanwhile, Lux Repo will provide the Apple user to make customizations to the device settings in particular. Coolstar Repo, on the other hand, can be used to alter command line tools. The publication goes on to mention that these particular repos, however, are best for those without iOS 10.

This only means that there is still no way around the latest system update from Apple - at least not from Pangu. A handful of individuals have claimed ownership of a jailbreaking tool, but none have stepped forward to actually produce the same. However, even Luca Todesco, one of the more well-known hackers, has suggested not to jailbreak into the latest update from the Cupertino-based company.

As Forbes reports, Apple has already rolled out iOS 10.2, which includes several new additions and improved features. This includes the new TV app, a single sign-on for cable TV, new wallpapers and preserve settings for the camera application. Furthermore, the update includes new effects for iMessages, a hundred new emojis and a new headphone icon on the status bar.
