Niantic has recently introduced several generation 2 Pokemon to Pokemon Go. These Pokemon are the pre-evolved forms of several generation one Pokemon such as Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Magmar and more. Since Gen 2 update is expected to follow soon, fans are curious how will they be introduced to the game. Currently, a list of generation Pokemon with respective egg distance has been released.

According to the report from Otakukart, the 2km egg includes the three generation 2 Starter Pokemon Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile, Sentret, Pichu, Cleffa, Igglybuff, Togepi, Marill, Hoothoot, Ledyba and Spinarak. On the other hand, 5KM eggs will hatch Pokemon such as Chinchou, Natu, Mareep, Sudowoodo, Hoppip, Aipom, Sunkern, Yanma, Wooper, Murkrow, Wobbuffet, Girafarig, Pineco, Dunsparce, Gligar, Snubbull, Qwilfish, Shuckle, Sneasel, Teddiursa, Slugma, Swinub, Corsola, Octillery, Houndour, Phanpy, Stantler, Smeargle and Miltank. Lastly, 10KM eggs will include Misdreavus, Heracross, Mantine, Skarmory, Tyrogue, Smoochum, Elekid, Magby and Larvitar.

Based on the report, several players who saved up eggs for Christmas event were surprised to find out that Niantic allows them to find generation 2 pokemon in Eggs. However, players are suggesting that Niantic should change the color and texture between gen 1 and gen 2 eggs. By that, players will be able to identify both eggs thus granting players the assurance that they are hatching a generation 2 Pokemon.

Meanwhile, hardcore Pokemon Go players are now curious of how Niantic integrates generation 2 in the game. Some suggest that they will be made available in the wild just like generation 1. In addition, previous reports revealed numerous suggestions from the players regarding the next Pokemon Go major update such as Breeding, Pokemon Centers and more. Overall, it seems like Niantic is giving their fans a better Pokemon Go experience this winter season while some fans expect more bonuses to arrive once the Christmas Event will go live.
