Xiaomi Smartphones Will Finally Get The Android 7.0 Nougat-Based MIUI 9: Here´s Everything You Need To Know

Xiaomi smartphones as the Mi 4c, Mi 4s and Mi Note will be the first of the Chinese company to receive the highly expected Android 7.0 Nougat-based MIUI 9 software update. Apparently, the beta testing for the Nougat has already started and MIUI operations manager revealed that a few of its smartphones will be among the first to receive it.

The Software Update Would Not Come This year

According to the International Business Times, there are many other Xiaomi smartphones as the Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi 3, 3S, 3A and the Redmi pro that will also receive the update, but it´s not known how much time the customers will have to wait. Also, it´s quite possible that other Xiaomi smartphones as the Mi Note 2, Mi 5s Plus or the Mi MIX will receive this update, given the fact that these are widely available models of this brand.

Although there´s no information about the time in which the Android 7.0 Nougat-based MIUI 9 is going to be available for the Xiaomi smartphones -it´s almost impossible that this comes before the end of the year- this presents good news for the Chinese company, given the fact that the software update would make is smartphones way more attractive to the customers, and increase its popularity in China and the rest of the world.

Xiaomi Smartphones Can Now Compete In The Big League

According to Phone Arena, MIUI is Xiaomi´s own custom fork of Android and is expected to feature great details from the company other than Android´s regular Nougat features. This way, Xiaomi smartphones would stop being one of the few important brands that were lagging behind many of its competitors in this particular regard, and will finally have an update that would probably increase its chances of beating Huawei as the biggest smartphone maker in China. If you don´t have one of these phones, now is a good time to buy one.
