Performance Package Not Turbo S

Many people would likely get confused as to whether the Porsche Macan Performance Package is the same with the Turbo S. It appears that this is not yet clear at the moment. As reported by TopGear, Porsche says it is not but at the same time, the automaker does not call it a Macan Performance Package either. Whatever it is called does not really matter either way because what it carries under the hood is the real highlight.

More Horses Under The Hood

The Porsche Macan Performance Package can be considered as an upgrade of the Macan Turbo S as it gets more power under the hood. According to a report from Auto Evolution, the Porsche Macan Performance Package still has the 3.6-liter V6 engine from the Turbo version but with an additional power. Accordingly, the Performance Package has 39 more horsepower and 37 more pound-feet of torque than the other version. This brings the total to 434 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque for the Porsche Macan Performance Package that propels it from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 4.4 seconds.

The Performance Package Price

In a report, it was mentioned that the Porsche Macan Turbo has a Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $76,000. The Porshce Macan Performance Package on the other hand will require buyers to shell out $86,445 to get their hands on this fast crossover. Despite the difference in price, the additional horsepower alone is already convincing enough and with some added goodies, many people would be more than willing to pay for it.
