2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Takes A Ride In The Snow

The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor has positioned itself as a truck that can conquer all kinds of terrains. It has demonstrated its capabilities in dry conditions and showed that it can back its claim. It appears that the 2017 Ford F-150 wants to take things to another level as it takes a ride in the snow and conquered it like the other terrains.

What The Raptor Has Under The Hood

While modern vehicles are being built to be functional in all seasons, there are very few vehicles in the auto industry that can take on snowy terrains like they are made for it. According to report from Digital Trends, the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor has a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that can deliver 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. Thanks to this powerful engine, it gives the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor to plow through snow like it's not even there.

Riding In The Snow

According to a report from Auto Evolution, the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor was taken by Ken Block, a stunt driver for the Gymkhana Series, for a ride in the snow where he basically did what he does best, which is to pull off stunts but in the snow this time. Apparently, the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor also has a driving mode built for snow in its Terrain Management System. In addition, an optional Torsen front differential is also available to increase the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptors performance in off-road conditions. Of course, even with all these assistance from the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor itself, it takes a very skilled driver to pull off drifts in the snow and drive like Ken Block did.

The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Is The Real Deal

Given the fact that the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor has demonstrated its capabilities in all conditions including a snowy one, it is apparent that the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor is the real deal. The title of being the best in its segment is well deserved and it will be interesting to see what its rivals will do after this stunt.
