PlayStation 4 Games In 2016 That Were Worth Every Gamer's Time

This year is drawing to an end as 2017 looms in a few days ahead, but that does not mean video game developers are going to stop making novel ideas. 2016 has seen a lot of great video games released on various gaming platforms and even ones that have made history such “Pokemon GO” and “Super Mario Run”. There were several video games designed for PlayStation 4 and quite a handful of titles have been dubbed as games that are worth every gamer’s penny and here are some of it.

Blizzard Entertainment’s “Overwatch”

Of course, the most notable contribution to the video games industry would be “Overwatch”, a first-person shooting (FPS) multiplayer online game developed by Blizzard Entertainment and released in May 2016. They say anything Blizzard Entertainment makes turns into gold especially after the “Warcraft” series remain popular worldwide but the success of “Overwatch” is incomparable especially when it was the first time that Blizzard Entertainment ventured into a first-person shooting game. With several FPS games debuting such as “Tom Clancy’s The Division” and “Destiny", it was no surprise that “Overwatch” was welcomed and even became an instant favorite thanks to its playable heroes that fans have grown fond of.

Naughty Dog’s “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End”

Another video game that was worth every gamer’s time was “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End”, just like the other games it followed developed by Naughty Dog. Though the game continued to revolve on the story of the main protagonist, Nathan Drake, it actually packed a whole new adventure that kept players hooked and on their toes. The game introduced a new journey and even delved into Drake’s back story that spiced up the game.

Square Enix’s “Final Fantasy XV”

Square Enix has clearly done it again after it has finally released the fifteenth installment in the main series since it made the official announcement ten years ago. But with all the novel ideas Square Enix has been putting into the latest “Final Fantasy” game, reviews have been divided as fans go through diverse gaming experience. Introducing a new leveling up system, astrals, fun skills, countless side quests, and many more, players have been caught up as well in the usual immersive surroundings that “Final Fantasy XV” has unveiled.

Crystal Dynamics’ “Rise of the Tomb Raider”

At first, announcement of the reboot of “Tomb Raider” was received rather negatively especially with the avid fans of the said franchise but with the release of the first installment in 2013, it has proven to the whole world that it was the best decision ever made. Crystal Dynamics delivered a spectacular remake of “Tomb Raider” in 2013, which led it to receive numerous awards that it deserved. Now it has released the anticipated sequel, “Rise of the Tomb Raider” and fans are not disappointed at all. Starting with Lara Croft’s initial journey to being the femme fatal she is known to be, the video game was lauded not just for the graphics but for its upgraded gameplay, which has given players more things to explore.

SCE Japan Studio and Sony’s “Gravity Rush Remastered”

Now, here is one video game that has been underestimated because of well, probably the title itself but turned out to be a great game that offered a whole new gaming experience wherein players got to control gravity to fight foes and look for more adventures. “Gravity Rush”, also known as “Gravity Daze” was remastered for the PlayStation 4 in February 2016 especially after gaining fair amount of positive reviews. This video game is a fun-filled break that gamers that are fond of any genre will definitely appreciate.
