Everyone is still in shock with the news about the heatwave in Australia. Residents are dreadful of the upcoming temperature hike that is set to happen during the rest of the holidays. With a prediction of six days with extreme heat and three days of a temperature over 40C, all the respective government service agencies are on the lookout for possible difficulties.

A forecast states that Sydney is going to reach a temperature of 35C today, followed by a 36C the next day and a 38C on Wednesday. The temperature on Thursday is deemed to be higher as it is expected to reach a 40C, then a 43 on Friday and another 40C on New Year's Eve.

As for the east and the city side today and tomorrow, only a temperature of 29C and 30C is expected but is predicted to reach a 38C on Thursday and 36C on Friday. The heatwave in Australia has got residents concerned and enduring tough holidays this 2016 as it is noted to be the hottest Christmas in Australia over the last 18 years as reported by Daily Mail.

As per SMH, Adelaide's 40C heat last Dec 25 is noted to be the hottest in 75 years. As Melbourne's 36.3C on the same day is noted to be the hottest Christmas since the year 1998. More information is noted with a five-day weather forecast in Australia's capital cities.

"We have 74,000 volunteers right across NSW and every brigade will be manned and if something does happen they will respond immediately." John Redman, Rural Fire Service's spokesman said in an interview.

According to Redman, there are 28 fires that are currently burning across the state. He then goes on to suggest that anyone thinking of lighting a fire in the midst of the heatwave in Australia should think twice before doing it. He emphasizes the danger of causing one too many lives of people especially those of the fire fighters who act to put it out.
