Does Samsung Owe Its Success To Apple? The iPhone 8 Might Just Be Like The Galaxy S8
There have been so many reports of the possible specs and features of the iPhone 8 and Galaxy S8. Consequently, people are starting to get the idea that both smartphones are getting more and more alike. Will people be able to tell the difference between two smartphones once they are unveiled? Here are the similar rumored specs and features of the iPhone 8 and Galaxy S8:
According to reports, both the iPhone 8 and Galaxy S8 will ditch the Home button, making it almost bezel-less. Meaning, instead of a physical Home button that users can touch, the Home button will be a software-based home button. Another thing about its front design is that both smartphones will feature a Fingerprint Scanner on its display.
It is reported that both smartphones will feature a richer screen, making it more bright, colorful, and sharper. Both phones are also reported to have curved displays and possibly curved edges as well. But with no official pictures of the products, one can only imagine what the 2 smartphones will look like.
The Galaxy S8 is reported to feature an AMOLED display that will be built from a brand new material. About what material it will be, it is still unspecified. As for the iPhone 8, it is reported to launch 3 variants: iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and the iPhone 8 codenamed as 'Ferrari' that is said to be the premium model. The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus is said to have LCD screens only. As for the iPhone 8 Ferrari, there have been back-and-forth reports about what screen will it feature. Some say it will be OLED, while some say AMOLED.
Both smartphones are rumored to feature wireless charging. On the iPhone 8's side, it is said that only the iPhone 8 Ferrari will likely have a wireless charging feature. While with the Galaxy S8, reports suggest that Samsung will launch 2 variants next year, but it is still unclear if both Samsung models will have a wireless charging feature.
The Galaxy S7 Edge Will Probably Be The Last Of The "S" Line Series
New leaks suggest more and more that there is a possibility that Samsung might end the "S" line series to rub off the bad reputation it had from this year's "exploding" features of the Galaxy Note 7. Though there aren't official announcements from Samsung to support this claim, tech enthusiasts believe that this will likely happen.
