Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Plus? Hints Of New 10.1-Inch Or 11.6-Inch Tablet In Pipeline

Following Samsung's recent big announcement of its flagship smartphone, Galaxy S4, rumors have been circulating that Samsung will soon launch the Galaxy Tab 3 tablet and speculation suggest the company is working on a 10.1-inch or 11.6-inch tablet.

SamMobile cited insiders in the industry and said "SamMobile received new information about a rumoured high-end tablet by Samsung, the Galaxy Tab 3 Plus."

Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab series in 2010 and the Galaxy Tab 2, which included a 7-inch and a 10.1-inch tablet, made its way to consumers in April 2012. Now rumors indicate that the Galaxy Tab 3 will be revealed at the Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin (IFA) event in Berlin later this year.

Rumors indicate that the Galaxy Tab 3 tablets will have a better display. Previous rumors point to a 10.1-inch tablet, but latest rumors hint at a probable 11.6-inch tablet.

"Samsung received a ton of positive feedback on their AMOLED display panels and that is why they decided to implement it at a larger-scale. Samsung wants to make a premium tablet that can compete with the Sony XPERIA Tablet Z and the Apple iPad. Sadly the insider couldn't confirm the screen size of the tablet but he expects it to be 10.1" or 11.6". At the moment, Samsung has developed prototypes with different screen sizes," reports SamMobile.

SamMobile also reports that "Our insider has also confirmed that Samsung is working really hard on developing the  new display and there are high chances that Samsung could unveil the Galaxy Tab 3 Plus at IFA 2013 in Berlin, along with the Galaxy Note III."

Samsung has not confirmed anything about the Galaxy Tab 3 but with the Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Tab 2 both announced at the IFA event in the past, it should not come as a surprise if the Galaxy Tab 3 makes its appearance at the IFA 2013 event in Berlin later this year.
