Pokemon Go Update: More Limited Edition Pikachu Arriving Soon?

During the early days of the Christmas Season, Niantic has released a limited edition Santa Hat Pikachu which can be found in the wild. This addition from Niantic has surprised their all of their fans. As a result, players were rushing outside just to find this timed-exclusive Santa Hat Pikachu. In addition, Santa Hat Raichu is also made available. With the special type of Pikachu's appearance nearing its end, fans are curious if Niantic will consider adding more limited edition Pikachu in the future Pokemon Go updates.

According to the report from Otakukart, there are three possible limited edition Pikachu that might be added soon. First on the list is the Surfing Pikachu. It was a card released as a promo in the original Pokemon Trading Card Game set. In addition, Surfing Pikachu was freshly redistributed in XY Evolutions TCG Booster. Based on the report, this special type of Pikachu could appear either standing on a surf board or just holding it. Meanwhile, Surfing Pikachu might perhaps learn the move surf or other water-type move as a great bonus.

Second one is the Flying Pikachu. This type of Pikachu appeared on a trading card as well. Flying Pikachu could appear in the game with multiple balloons tied to its body or wearing an aviator hat. It might also learn any flying type move as a result.

Finally, the third one is called Pikachu Libre. This special type of Pikachu has made appearance in the Pokemon anime, trading card and even in a video game. Pikachu Libre appears to be wearing a wrestling mask and perhaps already won the heart of the fans. Based on the report Pikachu Libre is the latest Pikachu variant listed. This could debut to Pokemon Go sporting its costume and might learn some fighting type moves.

Meanwhile, Pokemon Go's New Year event is still live. Catch your favorite Starter Pokemon now as their spawn rate, together with their respective evolution line, are now massively increased. Pokemon Go's New Year's Event will run until Jan. 8, 2017.
