Injustice 2 News And Updates: Devs Improve Character Faces After Complaints From Fans

NetherRealm has found a new hit franchise in its hands with the Injustice games, and a lot of fans are looking forward to the release of Injustice 2 in 2017. When footage was first released of characters like Supergirl and Wonder Woman, a lot of fans' complaints have arisen since the models were said to look "weird." Luckily the developers have heard their call, and some major graphics overhauls have been spotted for the game.

According to the Bitbag, the differences were pointed out by game enthusiast Maximillian Dood on YouTube. In a video he posted in his channel, he says that marketing for Injustice 2 had gone stagnant for four months until some footage of the Supergirl gameplay came out.

In his video, he does a full comparison of how Supergirl and Wonder Woman looked during the initial announcement of the game and how they looked in the new gameplay trailer. He boils it down to either the development team working on whole new models for the characters or perhaps the change in lighting. Sure enough, the polishing has been clear on the models, and this probably means that NetherRealm is just working on a few more kinks before the game launches later in the year.

It's also been pointed out that a lot of the awkward faces in the game have dominantly appeared on characters that have no masks and are showing their entire face. Aside from Supergirl and Wonder Woman, there have also been complaints about how Aquaman and Superman look in the game. Hopefully NetherRealm has found a way to render the models so fans are happy with the final product.

As of now, Injustice 2 is set for an early 2017 release, and there have also been rumors that characters like the Red Hood, Spawn and John Constantine will be appearing in the game. No official announcement confirms this though, so fans will just have to wait and see to find out.
