Injustice 2 Will Feature Gear System That Turns It Into An RPG Fighting Game; Release Date Speculated

Injustice 2 news has been making a lot of noise lately when reports have speculated that Injustice: Gods Among Us sequel may be launched early 2017.

While NetherRealm Studios hasn't exactly given out details of Injustice 2 release date, reports say that the upcoming fighting game might be launched March 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One. DC Characters such as Darkseid, Red Hood, Swamp Thing, and John Constantine were even said to join the beloved (and hated) superheroes and villains. Now if that doesn't get you a bit too excited, then wait till you hear more.

Injustice 2 Like Mortal Kombat X?

Injustice 2 developer, NetherRealm Studios, has quite made a name after launching 2015's Mortal Kombat X but as lazygamer has mentioned, the best fighting game from them doesn't actually show the skin-ripping scenes and losing an arm and leg (literally). Their 2013 game, Injustice Gods Among Us was even described as "the bastard child of Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter". But what about the upcoming sequel?

Injustice 2 Gear System

Injustice 2 game is said to feature a new gear system that is said to change the visuals significantly and yes, the said engine for Mortal Kombat X will power Injustice 2 which means, pretty awesome visuals! Now, before you start rolling your eyes expecting just a fancy reskin here and addition of few characters there, the new DC game is said to become an RPG fighter as each unlock reveals a perk or a boost.

Injustice 2 players are said to get all hyped when a regular Batman in his usual suit might look "meh" but after upgrading his suit twenty levels up, you'd get a Dark Knight in a shining armor that even Tony Stark will surely exclaim, "damn!"

Injustice 2 new gear system is also reported to have the playable characters move way quicker and even does a bit more damage. So expect a villain to get more damage hits as he get ran over by a Batmobile or get punched right out of space with Superman's famous "Kryptonian Crush".

For Injustice 2 fans who can't wait to get their hands on the game, give it time, more details will be revealed soon. Just imagine how excruciating it must have been to the Injustice 2 team to have to balance thousands of gear for the many superheroes and villains. But one good thing to expect about this fighting game is its new gear system that will revolutionize the upcoming sequel, just like what they did with Mortal Kombat X. Will we hear, "Fatality!" soon? Nah, let's wait for more updates.

Here's an Injustice 2 trailer with Harley Quinn and Deadshot and a bunch of "ouch" exclaiming moments:
