Resident 7 Developer Confirms That The Game Will Be Harder Than Its Predecessors

Capcom has brought their fans to a whole new level with their upcoming game entitled Resident Evil 7. From their previous game titles which are action-inclined, the company took a leap and introduced a first-person survival gameplay that delivers a true horror feel to their players.

Apparently, they have already seen a part of their journey with the creepy Baker family via the Beginning Hour demo that was released for both consoles. Since PC players received the demo version at a later date, they had made the most out of the game and experienced a spine-chilling journey.

According to the report from GamingBolt, Capcom's Hajime Horiuchi commented that the game is focusing on a new direction. He said that raising the difficulty level compared to the previous games are intentional. They are now redirecting their focus on the aspect of fear. He explained that they are worried that players would not feel the tension or anxiety if the game will be too easy and the enemies that they will encounter do not possess a strong impact.

Basically, in order to bring a new challenge to the game, they wanted to make sure that if you are trapped in a one-on-one scenario, that one enemy has the ability of killing you, Horiuchi added. With the game expected to arrive later this month, the hype remains high for the fans who have waited for the game's arrival, especially those who have played the demo version last year.

Meanwhile, the final demo version which is dedicated to the PlayStation VR has been released last year under the title Kitchen. However, it was reported that it is not explicitly tied to the game and only acts as a teaser of the full game. Resident Evil 7 will soon be available for PC, PlayStation 4, PS VR and Xbox One.
