The CES is one of the main venues for the latest technology and innovations and the 2017 version certainly did not disappoint especially in the field of smartphones.

That said, here are a few of the most intriguing smartphones unveiled at the recently-concluded tech tradeshow.

Asus ZenFone AR

The ZenFone AR has Google Tango and has support for the Google Daydream. It also has 8GB of RAM marking the first time a phone has had that much RAM.

Blackberry Mercury

The QWERTY makes a glorious return to the CES via the new Blackberry Mercury. The Android phone combines the keyboard with a touchscreen in one phone while also having a fingerprint reader in the spacebar. The phone is cased in an aluminum body and ports a USB-C ort and a headset jack.

Huawei Honor Magic

The new phone from the Chinese company makes use of an AI to know who is closest to it and what he or she is doing. It can also guess what the user would be doing next. It has an infrared feature that scans the user's face and a fingerprint reader in the home button which will activate once the user is verified. A flashlight option appears if the ambient light sensor senses that it is dark allowing the user to decide whether to use the light or not.

Huawei Mate 9

Another product of Huawei, the Mate 9 is now making waves in the U.S. after it was initially made available in other parts of the world. It is scheduled to get support for Alexa next month. This will mark the first time that the AI from Amazon will be in a smartphone. The Mate 9 also boasts of having a dual camera setup and a 4,000mAh battery.

Nokia 6

The former phone industry leader is still on the comeback has Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor under its hood and also has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. It is also powered by a 3000mAh non-removable battery. Nokia is taking their act to China this time as it has decided to offer the Nokia 6 exclusively in the eastern country.
