HTC is reported to hold an event on January 12, 2017 called the "For U." It is said that HTC will probably release or reveal 3 high-end HTC smartphones. The HTC Alpine (aka HTC U Play), HTC Ocean Note (aka HTC U Ultra), and the HTC E66 (aka HTC X10) respectively.
HTC Alpine (aka HTC U Play)
Body Design. The HTC Alpine or better known as the HTC U Play will have a Fingerprint Scanner embedded on its Home Button, something that most smartphone companies are implementing on their devices these days. And Just like the iPhone 7 Plus, it will not have a 3.5 mm headphone jack. If you're wondering if HTC will have its own wireless headphones, that is still a mystery, because even though the HTC U Play won't have a headphone jack, some tech enthusiasts believe that this smartphone would likely be using a Type-C port instead.
Display And Platform. The HTC U Play will feature a Full HD 5.2-inch screen with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (423 PPI). It will be powered by MediaTek's Helio P10 chip. And for its OS, there was no mention what it will be, but some tech analyst believe base on the specs of the device, it will probably run on Android Nougat.
Memory, Camera And Battery. The HTC U Play will feature 32 GB of ROM with 3 GB of RAM. Its camera specs is a rear and front camera that has 16 MP. And for its battery, it will house a 2,500 mAh battery.
HTC Ocean Note (aka HTC U Ultra)
Body Design And Display. Just like the HTC U Play, the HTC Ocean Note will also not have a 3.5 mm headphone jack. For its display specs, it will feature a Quad HD 6.0-inch screen. Sadly, there is no information as to what screen resolution it will have.
Platform And Memory. This smartphone is quite unique among the 3 rumored HTC smartphones. The HTC Ocean Note is the only smartphone that will have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip. Its internal memory is 64 GB with 4 GB of RAM.
Camera And Battery. For its camera specs, it is also a little high-end. It will have a 24 MP + 13 MP rear camera (dual-lens? Most likely) and a 16 MP front-facing camera. It will be powered by a 4000 mAh battery.
HTC E66 (aka HTC X10)
Body Design. Now, the HTC X10 has been long rumored for a while now and a lot of changes have been made regarding its specs and features. According to the latest rumors, its body design is similar to the HTC One X9 - a "refresh" if you could say. And yes, it will have a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Display And Platform. The HTC X10 will feature a 5.5-inch screen with 1080p resolution. And just like the HTC U Play, it will also have MediaTek's P10 (aka MT6755). There is also no information as to what OS will it be running on.
Memory And Camera. Regarding its memory specs, the only information known is that it will have 3 GB of RAM. And for its camera specs, there is information about it, but it is kind of weird. Well, for starters, it is not a whole number. It has 16.3 MP for its rear camera and 7.9 MP for its front camera.
