GTA V Tops UK Sales Charts Dethroning Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

Apparently, a 3-year-old video game just topped the charts in the United Kingdom the other day. Some of the gamers might consider this game old already but this game is not ordinary. GTA V just dethroned Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

For those who haven’t played or heard about Grand Theft Auto V must be out of their mind or something. This video game has set a lot of standards when it comes to open world action-adventure genre. The developers of the game already knew the right mix to have a successful video game and GTA V is just another testament of their work.

GTA V Made It On Top Of The List, Again

This is not the first time that Grand Theft Auto V had taken over UK Sales chart. Actually, this will be their 10th time already in claiming the number 1 spot in the United Kingdom. The last time they reached this plateau was last August 6th of last year. Before 2016 ended, Rockstar Games and Rockstar North saw a significant change in their numbers. A staggering 3% increase was computed which help contribute the British economy ever.

GTA V and GTA: Vice City

These two series are often compared a lot and right now you can add this feat to their comparison. Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City are the only series from GTA franchise that was able to eclipse or top the charts multiple times in UK Sales Charts History. It is still early to predict but with the rumors that the gaming world is hearing about GTA VI, sooner or later, it will join the prestigious list.

GTA V Knocks Out Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare

Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare has been seating on the top of the list for quite awhile right now. Although a lot of players are banking on FIFA 17 or Battlefield to dethrone them, it was GTA V who surprisingly(not really) defeat them this week. The other games who made it on the list in order are FIFA 17, Battlefield 1, Forza Horizon 3, Watch Dogs 2, Rocket League, Mafia III, Steep and Gears Of War 4.
