With avid fans and gamers all over the world awaiting the return of “Final Fantasy VII” through a remake, Square Enix has been updating fans slowly but at least surely on the development. Now the developers have revealed the probable reasons why the release date for the said remake has been delayed. Square Enix has pointed it to the “Kingdom Hearts III” being currently developed as well.
Tetsuya Nomura, one of the directors of Square Enix, has just announced some updates regarding the progress of the awaited “Final Fantasy VII” remake. One of the announcements was putting into light why the release of the said anticipated remake has always been delayed. Nomura had to explain the circumstances since everyone has been asking recently as to when to expect the remake of one of the greatest role-playing video games ever to grace the history of the gaming industry.
After confirming before that the “FFVII” Remake as well as “Kingdom Hearts III” is finally progressing with its developments, Nomura updated fans and only had to say that they are working on the said video game especially the remake that is currently moving solidly, which means that the development is moving forward though clearly in an excruciating glacial phase. Of course, fans do understand that it takes the time to remaster “Final Fantasy VII” into a high definition one despite Square Enix already revealing that they are retaining the original game’s story and will only add some few features like to the combat system to improve the gaming experience and the flow of the story.
Addressing the concern of the release, Nomura has admitted that it will be taking longer than expected to finally see “Final Fantasy VII” Remake out in the stores. He pointed out that the team that has been rounded up to work on the remake is having difficulties linking up in-office and non-office staff. Aside from that, he has revealed that the development of another anticipated video game has divided the attention of developers as of now.
Square Enix has been aiming to release both the remake and “Kingdom Hearts III” this year but it seems like they are chewing on more than they can handle at a short time. Nomura further stated that with “Kingdom Hearts III” on top, the remake of the said “Final Fantasy” video game will most likely be delayed. He said that things are different now in the company whereas the supervision now works unlike how it was in the old days. But Nomura did assure fans that the delay has nothing to do with the content of the video game but simply on the physical issues so he asked the public to refrain from worrying as they are doing all their best with combined efforts to deliver the games as soon as they can and meet their expectations.
Square Enix has confirmed the said remake as early as 2015 and it has brought fans excited as it has been one of the things most of them has been waiting for. The remake will adapt the same story and same characters, without adding new ones. The developers have hoped to release “Final Fantasy VII” Remake along with “Kingdom Hearts III” by the end of 2017 and Nomura promised that they will be announcing release dates soon.
