Nokia Lumia 520 Sold Out In India

The entry-level Nokia Lumia 520 has attracted many smartphone customers since its release recently. Now the Windows Phone 8 (WP8)-powered smartphone is sold-out on an Indian online retailer.

"The Nokia Lumia 520 breaks now ground as a low-cost Windows Phone 8 handset, and it seems the market has responded, as all versions of  the cheap 10,499 INR handset has rapidly sold out on Flipkart, India's equivalent to Amazon.com," says WMPowerUser.

Not everyone can afford or want a top-end smartphone. The Nokia Lumia 520 may prove to be a perfect device for customers looking for an affordable device or who want to experience WP8 without taking the risk of spending a lot of money and then not liking the device.

WP8 smartphones may also suit handset buyers looking to use an alternate operating system to iOS or Android. Until now only a few WP8 smartphones were available on the market and of them, only a few were affordable. Now it seems that Nokia is getting aggressive with its low-price strategy, with the launch of mid-segment WP8 devices.

The Lumia 520 touts some features that are not available in other smartphones in its category, such as the free MS Office app, giving you easy access to Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The smartphone also has the Cinemagraph feature, which lets users add animations or motion to their images, making them fun and perfect for sharing on social networks.

The Smart Shoot feature of the Lumia 520 enables users to take multiple images with a single click and lets you form the perfect single photo from bits of each.

If you are looking for an affordable WP8 smartphone, will you have the Nokia Lumia 520 on your wishlist?
