Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 To Release In Canada On April 19 For $429.99

Samsung took the wraps off its Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet at the MWC 2013 in February and the device has already started making its way to consumers in the UK and U.S. Now, per reports, customers in Canada will also be able to lay their hands on the Galaxy Note 8.0 very soon as the device is up for pre-order on retailer Best Buy.

According to a Mobile Syrup report, the Android-powered Galaxy Note 8.0 will hit the Canadian shelves on Friday, April 19, much earlier than expected.

The 16GB variant of the tablet is currently available for pre-order on Best Buy in Canada for $429.99.

"The next Android tablet to hit Canadian soil will be the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Samsung Canada stated this Android Jelly Bean 8-incher would arrive in Q2, but Best Buy is predicting that it's scheduled to arrive in our warehouse on 04/19/2013," reports Mobile Syrup.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 is already available in the UK and sports a slightly higher price of £339 (approximately $520) for the 16GB version.

Samsung also launched the tablet in the U.S. on April 11 and the Galaxy Note 8.0 (16GB Wi-Fi) is priced at $399.99.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 Wi-Fi packs in an 8-inch display with 1280 x 800 resolution (189 ppi). A 1.6GHZ Exynos quad-core processor powers the tablet.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 also touts the S Pen stylus, a 5-megapixel primary camera, a 1.3-megapixel secondary snapper, 4600mAh battery, and has 2GB of RAM. The tablet comes with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

Per Best Buy, the inventory of the device seems limited and the site noted "limited quantity available." In addition to the $429.99 price, customers will also have to shell out a $1.65 Environmental Handling Fee.

With the Galaxy Note 8.0 slated to hit the Canadian shelves via Best Buy next week, consumers in the region can expect announcements from other retailers very soon.
