Red Dead Redemption 2 Update: Pre-Orders To Start In Time For Super Bowl

When Red Dead Redemption 2 was yet to be officially confirmed, most fans were skeptical about its existence. Most of them thought that Rockstar Games won't move forward with such direction. Alas, they were wrong -- the game is indeed getting developed. Fast forward to today, little have been known about it. However, reports suggest that pre-orders are to commence next month.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was first announced back in 2016, particularly in October. The studio revealed back then that the title will be arriving sometime in fall of this year. Apart from that, no further details or specifics have been offered. This, among others, has only made the fanbase play the waiting game further.

Fortunately, as reported by iDigitalTimes, the pre-order date of Red Dead Redemption 2 might have been discovered. This happened following a Reddit post last weekend, suggesting a February 5 window. The said date is when the pre-order process will start on Target's retail stores.

The aforementioned post from the social media site depicts a pre-order card of Red Dead Redemption 2. Apparently, the poster is working on the above-mentioned store. So, in a sense, there might be truth to this despite Rockstar being silent.

The most interesting part here is that the pre-order date for Red Dead Redemption 2 actually means so much more. One is the mere fact that it's also the day of Super Bowl, which is considered as one of the largest advertising day of the year. The studio, if anything else, may plan to offer its own advertisement gig during the said event for the upcoming title.

Indeed, this is somehow plausible for Red Dead Redemption 2. After all, it's deemed as one of the largest forthcoming titles from the video game company. So it totally makes sense if the studio goes to such great heights. The devs just simply want to keep the hype going until it gets released.
