Prior to Square Enix's celebration of Final Fantasy franchise's 30th anniversary, the company has revealed additional information regarding the upcoming DLC of Final Fantasy XV. This new information focuses on the release dates for the future expansion pack.
According to the report from Game Rant, 2017 is a big year for the fans of the franchise, given that Final Fantasy 7 is celebrating its 20th anniversary and also the 30th anniversary for the series as a whole. In honor of the event, Square Enix has unveiled numerous amounts of information regarding the current and upcoming Final Fantasy games during the event held in Tokyo.
The report mentions that the announcement includes the three upcoming DLCs dedicated for Final Fantasy XV. RPG Site reported a special Booster Pack DLC that is scheduled to arrive on Feb. 21. The DLC will enable Noctis and the team to put on Magitek Exosuits. These special suits will allow the whole team to become invincible for 30 minutes before the need to recharge.
Apparently, these suits might become the new favorites for those players who want to participate in Final Fantasy XV's new game. This will be the best way to experience the updated story content that will be arriving soon. It is expected to fill in the gaps found in the plot that confused many fans who already finished the game.
Meanwhile, players will be able take control of Gladio in Final Fantasy XV's first major DLC that is scheduled to arrive on March 28. This would be the first time to have another party member to be a playable character outside Noctis. The upcoming expansion pack will allow players to know what happened to Gladio when he took a little time off during the game.
Episode Prompto which features the team's high-spirited photographer has been announced to arrive around June. However, there are no additional details released as of the moment. On the other hand, Final Fantasy XV only has one DLC so far, two if the on-going Moogle Chocobo Carnival is included. The Holiday Pack was released last December which added few cosmetic goodies for the players.
