‘Transformers: The Last Knight' Super Bowl Trailer Features Optimus Prime Vs. Bumblebee; Michael Bay Says It's His Last 'Transformers' Movie

Paramount Pictures has released a short trailer for “Transformers: The Last Knight” giving fans a preview of the movie before they launch the trailer in the up and coming Super Bowl LI. The said trailer reveals more footage from the anticipated “Transformers” movie and it features a battle between Bumblebee and Optimus Prime. Michael Bay has reportedly announced that this is going to be the last time he will be working on a “Transformers” movie.

The new short trailer of “Transformers: The Last Knight” opens with Anthony Hopkins saying that there is a reason why they, most likely the Transformers, keep coming to earth. Though the movie shows more action, enemies, and even Mark Wahlberg, the scene that caught everyone’s attention was the fight scene between the leader, Optimus Prime, and the favorite, Bumblebee. Many have speculated that this fight between the Autobots is actually the one depicted in the animated movie, wherein the dead Optimus Prime is revived as a zombie Autobot and to save the world from his havoc, Bumblebee fights him off.

The story of “Transformers: The Last Knight” is set around a battle for survival between the human race and the Transformers, just after Optimus Prime is gone. Cade Yeager, portrayed by Wahlberg, sets off on a quest with Bumblebee, an Oxford professor (Laura Haddock), and an English lord (Anthony Hopkins) to find out why Transformers just keep coming to Earth. The said action movie is slated to release in the United States on June 23 this year.

Meanwhile, the director of the “Transformers” movie series has announced that this will be his last time working on the franchise. Though Michael Bay has said this every after “Transformers” movie was released, he insisted that this time it’s for real. He also said that he has been working on the franchise for 10 years and his team has tried their best to interlink all the movies, ensuring to give a movie that fans will love but he did not explain why he’s calling it quits.
