"The Blacklist" evidently proves its success with an upcoming spin-off, "The Blacklist: Redemption." Reports revealed that the series was originally ordered last year but ended up to be released later this month. The show will star Famke Janssen and Ryan Eggold.

Movie News Guide reports that Famke and Eggold will be portraying the role of Scottie Hargrave and Tom Keen respectively. The said spin-off will focus on the life of Tom Keen as he decides to work for a private army in Red's infamous list. The list specified are those people who want to realize and appreciate their self-worth. Keen, on his journey, will then realize things with regards to his past life, especially his mother's lost.

Executives of the show admitted that the spinoff would not just be a usual "The Blacklist" season. It is different from the said series as it has its own story to tell. News even reiterated that the upcoming eight episodes of the show would gladly focus on establishing the world and putting more thrill to it. They even stated that viewers should expect more intense scenes and action-packed adventure for the main characters.

Other than that, it is already confirmed that Red, the character portrayed by James Spader, will not be visible in the show. Instead, the series would give more time to introduce Scottie Hargrave, Tom Keen's mother. Also, "The Blacklist: Redemption" would feature the life of Keen with Liz. Would they lose their relationship or would they be balancing work and life excellently?
