Verizon Wireless, an American company under Verizon Communications, announced that the shipment of their Google Pixel and Pixel Xl are getting delayed. The representatives of the company are calling their customers who are expecting for the smartphones delivery to inform them regarding its shipment. Aside from that, they are also being offered with a free Daydream View VR.

Verizon Gives Free Daydream VR Headset

According to Yibada, customers of Verizon Wireless who ordered Google Pixel and Pixel XL are being treated to free Google's Daydream VR headsets. The free gadget is Verizon's way of apologizing for the delayed shipping of the smartphone devices. Since the representatives who are calling the customers do not ask for any customers' personal information and they know the activation date for each device, this means that the call is not a hoax or just a show.

All the customers who ordered the 128 GB variant of the Google Pixel XL in November from Verizon were very disappointed to know that the device will not reach them before March of 2017. The promised shipment date is supposed to be Jan. 6, but Verizon informed buyers that it will be moved on March 3. And now, Verizon is trying to appease buyers of the Pixel and Pixel XL by giving them Google Daydream View VR headset for free.

Google Pixel And Pixel XL Supply Issue

Both the Google Pixel and Pixel XL are unveiled in late 2016. According to TechTimes, the two smartphones have been encountering supply shortage since their launch, owing to the huge demand for the devices all over the world. Now, some customers who ordered the Google Pixel and Pixel XL are still not receiving the device.

The only U.S. carrier that offers the Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphone is Verizon. But as of now, it seems that the customers' demand for the smartphones is far exceeding its supply. According to the company itself, Verizon is short on units of the Google smartphones, due to which the shipments of the Pixel XL have also been impacted.
