Marvel's 'X-Men' TV Series Casts Blair Redford As Show’s First Mutant

The new Marvel series featuring “X-Men” characters are clearly making some progress as new updates have just been announced. Fox has just revealed that they finally cast the first actor to portray one of the mutants. Blair Redford has just been confirmed to join the cast.

Blair Redford will be part of the main cast and he will portray the role of Sam. This character named Sam has been described to be a Native American mutant who happens to be the strong-headed leader of an underground network. The production left it at that and made sure fans would tune it for more updates.

Redford is an actor that has worked on movies and tons of television series. He has been a regular cast of “The Young and the Restless”, “Passion”, “Switched At Birth”, and even had the main role for “The Lying Game”. He was part of the movie, “Burlesque” that starred Cher and Christina Aguilera.

Redform might not boast of major roles in his resume but his experience clearly shows that he can act and land one of the main roles in the untitled “”X-Men” television series might just give him the big break. Bryan Singer, who worked on countless “X-Men” movies will be on board the series and will even direct and produce the pilot episode. Turns out the series will be more of a family drama since it will focus on two ordinary parents who discover that their children have mutant abilities and go on lengths to save them from a hostile government.

But Singer did say there will still be the usual powers, effects, and action but there will be drama. Showrunner Matt Nix has revealed before that the untitled “X-Men” series will take place in the same universe as the movies. This could mean fans can be treated to crossovers or a special guest appearance from the “X-Men” movie characters, just like in “S.H.I.E.L.D”.
