Galaxy S8 Plus Might Have Confirmed Accidentally By Samsung

The Galaxy S8 is going to be one of 2017's most anticipated smartphones. It is also one Samsung has tried to keep secret ahead of the big launch date until now. We've heard a lot of rumors circling the internet about the Galaxy S8 Plus and its smaller S8 sibling, and this would be the first time that Samsung acknowledged the S8 Plus device by name.

Samsung Reveals 'Alleged' S8 Plus Model Number

A report from one of the source said that Samsung has suddenly confirmed the larger of the two Galaxy S8 models: the 'Galaxy S8 Plus'. It did this by putting the smartphone's official support page live. Right now the page is blank and only carries the smartphone's model number (SM-G955FD), however, numerous consistent leaks have already pieced the handset together. The page is now just a broken link, and there are no screenshots, so make of that what you will. According to a source, Samsung rep explained, that it's the company's policy to refrain from commenting on unannounced products.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus New Leaks: Features And Specs

Well, this wouldn't be the first time Samsung has slipped up like this. Last month, the Korean beta page for Samsung Pay showed up to reveal the name Bixby, which fueled rumors all over the internet about the upcoming in-phone AI system. After the news spread, the page was changed, wiping out any mention of the Bixby name. What we can expect is a large beast with 6.2-inch curved 2K AMOLED display loaded into the same size chassis as last year's 5.5-inch Galaxy S7 Edge, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset or an Exynos 8895. Equipped with 64GB of internal storage, a microSD slot and a beefier 4GB of RAM. Comes with a USB Type-C charging port. IP68 water resistance and YES a 3.5mm headphone jack, iris and fingerprint scanners

Furthermore, don't expect these pages to be populated with detailed information just yet. Samsung has said it won't announce the Galaxy S8 at Mobile World Congress later this month. The on-going rumor suggests that the phone could instead unveil on March 29.
