'The Curse Of Oak Island' Season 5 Still Likely; Curse Of The Island Only Made Up By The Lagina Brothers?

History's "The Curse of Oak Island" is about to wrap up its fourth season, but its fate is not yet clear as fans are starting to give negative comments about the show. A rumor started that the show is only making up the curse for the sake of ratings. However, a recent update claim that a fifth season will still happen since the Lagina brothers reportedly failed in their promise to solve the mystery of the island, once and for all.

"The Curse of the Oak Island" rose to popularity as its search for an alleged pirate treasure easily captured millions of viewers. Brothers Marty and Rick has spent years of efforts to dig the land, solve the curse and expose the rumored 220-year-old treasure buried on the island. After almost four seasons of searching, though, the duo still has not surfaced any treasure, hence fans claim that there might still be another season.

In the premiere of "The Curse of the Oak Island" season 4, Marty and Rick vowed to finish the hunt, but spoilers have it that the brothers once again fails although they might find something close to solving the hunt. Reports then say that they are looking for more investors to proceed for a fifth installment of the show. It can be recalled that the mission was funded by the Nova Scotia Business Inc. with $1,271,546 last year. However, their zero accomplishment is reportedly making it difficult for the duo to win another deal. On a better note, History has not yet canceled the show, and the series still has millions of viewers which might be a good indication of possible renewal.

Looking back at the adventures of the Lagina brothers, fans are not that certain if they are getting closer to solving the mystery of the mythical treasure. Some have even brought to social media their disappointment as they reportedly observed that the episodes are getting redundant. This then has sparked countless rumors that the show is only making up the curse and the treasure just to win more viewers.

For the unoriented, "The Curse of Oak Island" follows the stints of the Lagina brothers from Michigan to solve the mysteries of the talked about Curse Island in Canada. The curse states the pirate treasure buried beneath the land will appear once seven lives are sacrificed, and that there are already six lives taken in an accident. However, records reveal that there are already hundreds of deaths linked to the treasure hunt, but the treasure is yet nowhere to be found.

Despite the negative comments, the brothers are still staying positive that they will find the pirate treasure that they are after. Fans then might see the duo once again for "The Curse of the Oak Island" season 5 on History and might feature the continuation of their drilling at Money Pit. The question on whether they can find a sponsor is expected to be answered in the upcoming season finale of "The Curse of Oak Island."
