Good news to all NES Classic Edition hunters particularly those who get to read this on time. The NES Classic Mini is back at Amazon and is also available once more at Argos and other retail stores in the United Kingdom.

Over at Amazon, the hard-to-find NES Classic will be in stock on Mar. 2 at a rather high $164.99 price tag. On the bright side, shipping will be free. Amazon UK also received some stocks last Monday but was quickly sold out except for one which is priced at £143.91 but with free delivery in the UK.

Argos also has limited stock as of this writing. The retailer sent out notifications to its customers saying interested parties can reserve the rare console in any of its 11 stores in the UK. The Nintendo UK store also announced that pre-orders of the NES Classic are now open with the delivery of stocks expected on Mar.3. Other UK retailers such as Tesco Direct, Smyths Toys and GAME recently re-stocked on the NES Classic Mini a week after rumors sprouted that the console would be killed off.

A Nintendo of Europe representative disputed the rumors and stressed that the mini NES will continue to ship to retailers "on a regular basis." Its return to the shelves of Amazon, Argos and the other stores is proof that the miniature console is not going away anytime soon. It may still appear sporadically but, at least, fans are assured that the popular video game console will not cease production.

The lack of NES Classic stocks is still seen by some as a marketing maneuver by Nintendo but the company has since admitted that the reason why the supply does not meet the demand is a miscalculation on its part. Nintendo did not anticipate the high demand coming from the younger generation. The gaming legend may need to increase its production a bit more now that modders have found a way to add not only the whole NES/FamiCom game library to the Mini NES but also games from other consoles such us the SNES, Game Boy, Sega Genesis, and Nintendo 64.
