Here's How Injustice 2 Differs From Its Predecessor

While players are patiently waiting for the arrival of Injustice 2, there is a new gameplay video that surfaced online. The latest video features an interview with community specialist Tyler Lansdown and some new gameplay footage of several Injustice 2 characters. As seen on the interview, Lansdown discussed the new features of the game when compared to the first game, Injustice: Gods Among Us.

According to the report from Game Rant, Lansdown mentions that fans should be excited about the newly-applied gear system in Injustice 2. Based on the report, players will receive a new gear piece after each fight allowing them to customize the appearance of their beloved character. Additionally, the extensive gear system will impacts how the character plays. As a result, it should assist the character to fit on each player's play-style.

Meanwhile, the game is currently in the closed beta stage which features Superman, Batman, Supergirl, Atrocitus and Blue Beetle as playable fighters. It appears that each character in the game has their unique play-style. For instance, Superman's close combat and personal brawling type, while Supergirl possessed a zoning-based combat system.

On the other hand, Black Canary previously confirmed to be added when the full game arrives. Apparently, NetherRealm Studios designed her as a very dangerous opponent that requires being brawled at the range. In addition, Lansdown comments regarding Black Canary's gameplay. He said that if she gets in on you, it's game over. Furthermore, he also said that she could be zoned decently to keep the space between her and the enemy. However, she still got several tools that will assist her to engage by passing through projectiles.

On other news, a new Injustice 2 trailer has been released featuring Superman's backstory in the game's plot. For fans of the previous game, they will know how Injustice featured earlier a turning-point for the long-time hero as he eliminates Joker. Though it shows that Superman was overpowered by Batman and his allies, however, a new danger is coming, as the Man of Steel still has associates out there.

Injustice 2 is scheduled for release on May 16, 2017, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
