TELUS BlackBerry Trade-In Offer: $75 Credit For A New White Phone

Canadian carrier TELUS has a big smartphone portfolio, including white smartphones. If you own a BlackBerry device and want to buy a brand new white handset from TELUS, you can get $75 credit.

TELUS has taken an interesting marketing stance and has put up a promotion that encourages people to trade-in their old BlackBerry devices for a new smartphone, but in white only.

"Trade to a lighter shade. Trade in your BlackBerry® and get a $75 in-store credit towards select white smartphones," TELUS' promotion page says.

The carrier has not mentioned how long the promotion will last and you can obtain the offer in TELUS stores only.

"While quantities last. Available on the white Samsung Galaxy S III, Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy Note II, Samsung Galaxy Ace II X, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and iPhone 5. All BlackBerry models except BlackBerry Q10 and BlackBerry Z10 are eligible," the page says.

Currently, Rogers has the exclusive rights to sell the white BlackBerry Q10, so it's not possible for TELUS to offer the latest QWERTY device. The BlackBerry Z10 is only available in black, so the handset won't be eligible for the current trade-in.

The current TELUS promotion may sound attractive to BlackBerry owners who want to get rid of their smartphone and get a brand new handset like the Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy S4, iPhone 4/4S/5 and more.

TELUS is selling the latest Samsung Galaxy S4 at a price tag of $199 on a three-year contract. If you were to trade-in your old BlackBerry smartphone for the Galaxy S4, then you get the handset for just $124.

If you own a BlackBerry handset and do not use it, then the TELUS offer may bring value to your BlackBerry device and at the same time bring a brand new handset to your pocket.
