The latest episode of “Dragon Ball Super” just aired last week and fans have yet to find out what happens next in just a few days. In the recent episode, it has been revealed what exactly was behind the Universe Survival Arc. The simple revelation turned out to be something unexpected.
“Dragon Ball Super” entered a new arc, which is the Universe Survival Arc, focusing on the tournament created by Zen-Oh. He invited the mightiest fighters from each universe to step up as a team and go against each other. The invitation was accepted under the notion that the tournament was to simply determine the strongest of all the universes.
As soon as the tournament commenced, Zen surprised them and announced that the losers of the tournament will actually be erased. He meant that they will be killed off and the universe they represent will also be obliterated. With the fighters from various universes on their toes, striving to win for their survival, another truth bomb landed on them.
The Great Priest revealed that the real purpose behind Zen-Oh’s tournament is to find a balance because there were too many universes existing already. He elaborated that the tournament was designed to determine the powerful universes that will be allowed to continue to exist. It was decided between the Omni-Kings that the tournament was the best way to settle differences and get rid of the weak universes.
With that said, Zen-Oh has apparently already ranked the 12 universes based on their mortal levels, from weakest to strongest, making those exceeding level 7 exempted and forcing those in lower ranks to fight for their universe’s survival. Goku’s team from Universe 7 is included in the weaker teams so they have to prove that they are stronger than Universe 9’s team and the rest to get to a safer level. It has been announced that Universe 7 is ranked second to the last.
While Universe 1, Universe 5, Universe 8, and Universe 12 are exempted and will not be erased, Universe 9 has been ranked the lowest and weakest, represented by Trio the Dangers. Bergamo the Crusher, the strongest fighter of Universe 9 strives to win to save their universe. “Dragon Ball Super” Universal Survival Arc will continue with the last fight of the Zen Exhibition Match between Goku and Bergamo, which will determine the fate of their universes.
