Ford Puts Live TV Streaming On 2018 Expedition

Automobiles have come a long way from they were originally introduced. Modern vehicles are now packed with so many technology features that are designed to make things more convenient for drivers and passengers. Things are about to be more interesting as the 2018 Ford Expedition now allows for a live TV streaming.

2018 Ford Expedition: The Built-In Live TV

According to a report from Tech Crunch, Ford has confirmed that the 2018 Expedition will allow for live TV streaming inside its cabin and this is due to the automaker's partnership with Slingbox. Accordingly, the rear-seat entertainment system will be situated behind the headrests of the driver's and passenger's seats in the form of 8-inch monitors. It was mentioned that the monitors can display the same content and can also display different programs. There are three ways to operate the system. The first method uses the touch buttons located below the screen. Second is a remote control and third is a mobile application for Android and iOS as reported.

2018 Ford Expedition: Other Features

CNET reported that in addition to the live streaming capability of the 2018 Ford Expedition, it will also have a built-in Wifi hotspot that allows for 10 devices to be connected in a simultaneous manner. The same report mentioned that this will also be required in order for the connected services such as the SlingPlayer to work. There is also a DVD player along with HDMI inputs in case the passengers want to play old films or play some games.
