Voice actress Lucy Poh, better known for her role as Overwatch support hero Mercy, has posted a new photo revealing that she is recording some new voice lines for the game. There seem to be a few clues on the image that might hint towards an incoming event.
Actress Lucy Pohl Teases New Voice Lines For Mercy
According to PVP Live, Pohl is back in the studio to voice some new lines for everyone's favorite angelic medic in Blizzard's first-person shooter. She recently posted an image on Twitter with the caption being "#Mercy 2 the rescue! Back in the studio w my fav character." While it is still unsure to what she is exactly recording, there might be a few things Blizzard plans on bringing to the game.
To begin with, there may be a chance that Mercy will be included in an upcoming animated short as she has yet to appear in previous videos. On the other hand, there is also the possibility that the character will be brought over to the Heroes of the Storm as Lucio's voice actor Jonny Cruz last returned to the campus for that said reason.
New Overwatch Event On The Way?
Finally, there is the possibility that the studio might be making an upcoming holiday event with Mercy getting new voice lines. If fans take a good look at the image she shared, they can see something written on a sheet that says "Dungeon Boss," which might hint at a new PvE mode for an event. Similarly, YouTuber RejectedShotgun - Overwatch News shared that a new event might be likely as lead writer Michael Chu claimed that they are making "a little something" that will be released "around the corner."
SimiIarly, Blizzard updated three playlists before Orisa's official reveal with two of them being videos about the said hero. While it is still unsure to what the third one is, the playlist itself is called "Maps and Events." If so, there is a chance that this might be the game's first actual lore event that will focus on Numbani's Unity Day.
For now, it seems like fans will have to wait for further news regarding Pohl's potential voice lines. Fans can play Overwatch on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
