Injustice 2 To Add Yet Another Character To The Roster

Injustice 2 will be adding a new playable character very soon following another teaser from the game's official site. This new hero or villain will join the wide pool of previously announced playable characters.

Injustice 2 To Introduce Another Hero

According to GameSpot, NetherRealm will be announcing the next fighter to their upcoming fighting game sequel. In line with this, the game's official website teased the date "3.13.17" along with the words "New Character Reveal." It is also worth noting that there is an image of a person's silhouette but it does not seem to hint at any potential characters.

In spite of this, NetherRealm boss Ed Boon tweeted that he has already seen the reveal trailer and thinks that fans will love it. That aside, Swamp Thing will be getting the spotlight in an upcoming live stream on March 15. Similarly, Captain Cold, Green Lantern and Green Arrow were revealed during a recent story trailer.

The Current Cast And Mobile Title

This upcoming sequel brings in a wide cast filled with both new and returning characters from the previous game. One notable feature is that this game includes more female characters as fans noted that the first game lacked women in the roster. The confirmed playable cast includes Doctor Fate, Swamp Thing, Batman, Blue Beetle, Harley Quinn, The Flash, Cyborg, Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Superman, Deadshot, Gorilla Grodd, Robin, Aquaman, Cheetah, Bane, Brainiac, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Atrocitus and Black Canary, as per another GameSpot report.

It is also worth noting that there is a sequel to the first mobile game. Players will be able to take the fight outside their house but with more streamlined controls instead.

Injustice 2 follows the story of the first game with characters making the most unlikely alliances. The sequel also brings back the iconic battle between Batman and Superman as the Dark Knight is recruiting both heroes and villains to counter the Man of Steel. Fans can buy the game once it launches on May 16 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
