Mass Effect Andromeda In Trouble? Game Collects Mixed Impressions For Its Plot And Gameplay Issues

Mass Effect Andromeda has gotten its official initial impressions and things are not looking too good. Many critics are pointing out the game's various glitches, animations and performance issues.

Critics Are Not Pleased With Mass Effect Andromeda

The upcoming Mass Effect game is only a week away and now critics are getting the chance to test out the game. Despite the various hype and excitement surrounding the title, it seems like they have a lot of mixed comments about the game during their initial playthrough. Screen Rant reports some of the nitpicks regarding the overall mechanics and gameplay that critics have been sharing.

To begin with, the auto-cover system supposedly feels lackluster along with the lack of the mini-map and supporting characters. Other unfavorable comments were addressed towards the map interface, research/crafting/development system, scanning and small open-world areas. On the other hand, other critics merely labeled the opening hours as "not good" due to its narrative and frustrating user interface (UI).

Similarly, others have been quite critical towards the quality of the quests, main plot and characters. In line with this, they even claimed that the interface structure and gunplay felt very weak during the opening hours of the game. However, take note that these are not the only complaints as the game also supposedly suffers from technical issues, as per ThisGenGaming.

Various Bugs And Awkward Animations

Some characters suffer from extremely awkward animations and have expressionless features like their eyes. The game also suffers from glitches during combat that is actually hilarious to watch but take away the game's immersion. It is also worth mentioning that there are actually some animations that were re-used from the previous games.

Finally, the game also has some major slowdowns on the PS4 although it is still unsure if this happens on the PS4 Pro also. While BioWare has yet to comment on the negative feedback, fans and critics are hoping for a day one patch that will fix these bugs and glitches. Fans can get a copy of Mass Effect Andromeda on March 21 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
