Pokemon Sun and Moon players Japan are in for a special treat as they have the chance to get one out of a variety of special Pikachus in celebration of the upcoming origins film. It is worth noting that each variant will have its own moves and levels.

Pokemon Sun And Moon Brings In A Special Pikachu

According to VG247, Japanese players will get the opportunity to get a special Pikachu for their copy of the latest Pokemon installment. Not only will this monster come with an iconic trainer hat, it will also have a special Z-Move called 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt. This event is in line with this upcoming I Choose You Film, which will officially run on July 15 in Japan. Fans who managed to purchase a ticket will also receive a special code to redeem the special Pokémon.

Keep in mind that this is only a single use code so players will have to choose which variety of Pikachu they want. Similarly, Serebii has shared the new details of the special monster and its respective hat. Pikachu will come in six different levels as well as include a different move set for each one.

All The Special Moves And Levels Per Hat

To begin with, the original cap version will come at level 1 with the moves Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Agility and Thunder. On the other hand, the Hoenn Cap Pikachu is at level 6 and comes with Thunder, Iron Tail, Thunderbolt and Quick Attack. Meanwhile, the Sinnoh Cap monster arrives at level 10 with Volt Tackle, Thunderbolt, Quick Attack and Iron Tail.

Coming in at level 14, the Unova Cap Pikachu retains the same moves with its Sinnoh counterpart. Finally, the Kalos and AlolaCap version comes in levels 17 and 20 respectively. The two Pikachus also share the same moves being Quick Attack, Iron Tail, Thunderbolt and Electro Ball.

Nintendo has yet to share any details whether the film or the special monsters will be making their way to the West. Fans will just have to wait for further information regarding future events. Until then, players can purchase a copy of Pokémon Sun and Moon for the 3DS.
