Uncharted: The Lost Legacy brings back two iconic characters from the franchise but will not be bringing back the familiar Nathan Drake. On the other hand, the upcoming downloadable content (DLC) will include the single biggest level in the entire franchise.

Chloe And Nadine Team Up In Uncharted: The Lost Legacy

According to VG247, the Uncharted developers recently shed more light on their upcoming project which was announced last year. To begin with, the installment will be set six to 12 months after the events of the fourth game and will take place in southern India. Moreover, the main plot focuses on Chloe and Nadine's search for the artifact, the Tusk of Ganesh. While it is still unsure to how the two women meet, Chloe will be the one who initiates their partnership.

That aside, the DLC will also include the single biggest level found in the series, which is only one out of the other environments to explore. Similarly, the developer promised that fans will be able to roam the area at their own pace with hidden secrets around the map.

On the other hand, the game will also incorporate lessons the development team learned during the development of the main game. In line with this, they have balanced environmental puzzles as well as action moments, climbing and the like. Furthermore, the game will also bring in some stealth factors and introduce the franchise's first silenced pistol.

Nathan Drake Busy With Other Activities

However, the game will not be bringing in the series protagonist, Nathan Drake, this time around, as per GameSpot. Writer Josh Scherr claimed that they tried to think of a few ideas of tying him in the story but they ultimately decided not to include him. Instead, he and director Kurt Margenau joked that Drake might be occupying his time with other activities like playing the Crash Bandicoot remaster instead.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will be a standalone title from the mainline franchise and give more insight to the two female leads. The DLC will be released later this year with no official release date as of now. Alternatively, those who want to play Uncharted 4 can get a copy for the PS4.
