Mercedes A45 AMG vs Alfa Romeo Giulia: Which Car Eats The Dust?

One way to know which car is better is to pit them against each other on road or better yet, on the race track. That's exactly what Archie Hamilton and BOTB did with the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrofoglio and the Mercedes A45 AMG.

Hamilton, a racer with a huge following on YouTube, sat behind the wheel of the A45 while Christian of BOTB drove the Alfa Romeo. As Car Throttle noted, Archie and the Mercedes A45 managed to squeeze out a win over the Alfa Romeo. However, the result could have been different if not for some slippery reasons.

The Mercedes A45 AMG proved to be the better and faster car but that is partly because of the track being wet and slippery at the time of the race. The Alfa Romeo failed to get any traction on the road thus failing to get a grip of the race.

A closer look at this race's winner shows that the Mercedes A45 AMG is known for its four-wheel-drive traction. This is probably the main reason why the A45 lorded it over the Alfa Romeo on the wet track. The A45 AMG traction and power makes it a good drive on different surfaces. The main issue with the Mercedes A45 is its price. It's a bit expensive as compared to other vehicles that can do the things it can do.

The 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrofoglio may be a mouthful but it is one of the most iconic brands in the history of cars. The sports car comes with a 2.9-liter twin turbocharged v6 engine capable of 505hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. That said, the 2017 Giulia Quadrofoglio could give the Mercedes A45 AMG a good run if the road conditions were right. Until then, the Mercedes A45 leaves the Giulia eating its dust.
