'Pretty Little Liars' Finale Will Render A Huge Twist; Series Ending Without Loose Ends Cancels Chance For Reboot?

In over two weeks, fans of Ali, Spencer, Aria, Hanna and Emily will see the first of the final ten episodes of "Pretty Little Liars." The first-minute look at season 7B's opener has recently been released where fans were only able to witness how Spencer is at the brink of dying. Meanwhile, the cast of the show talked about the series finale where they hint on the "huge twist" coming to the show.

The cast of "Pretty Little Liars" along with showrunner I. Marlene King and executive producer Joseph Dougherty came to the PaleyFest at Los Angeles' Dolby Theatre to discuss the ten final episodes of the show. They sat down for a panel discussion and they all shared a piece of the puzzle that will complete the series which Marlene King refers to as "a love letter to the fans."

The panel opened by releasing the first minute video of "Pretty Little Liars" season 7B. From the teaser, it was revealed that the episode which will air on April 18 will pick up exactly where season 7 left off. Spencer is in the ambulance struggling to be alive after she received a gunshot through her stomach. Shen then arrives at the hospital where the other liars are already waiting. The group then sees Toby and starts to wonder where Yvonne is. It seems like the liars are still confused about the real identity of Uber A and unfortunately, the teaser has not given clues about it either.

After the promo, cast members Ashley Benson, Shay Mitchell, Tyler Blackburn, Andrea Parker, Sasha Pieterse, Janel Parrish and Ian Harding then started to talk about the "PLL" finale. King then assured fans that the show will end in a satisfying way without leaving any cliffhanger to open the show again in the future.

Surely, there are a lot of "Pretty Little Liars" fans who wish to see the show doing a reboot soon like other dramas who already ended yet were revived after some years of being off the air. Actor Ian Harding is, in fact, one of those who wishes the show to come back soon saying he imagine a return where the "PLL" meets "Saw" theme will take place. The fact though that the characters will be given their happy endings, "PLL" might find it hard to go back for a revival.

Dougherty then supported the statement of King saying that the characters' peaceful life will not come easily as they have to earn their happy endings. Parish then elaborated on the struggle where she said that the revelations will come slowly through realizations coming at the end of every episode. She then said: "You're going to find out who killed Jessica DiLaurentis, who A.D. is - all of the answers." Pieterse then went to say that her character, Alison, will get the hardest line but said that she can't tell why.

"Pretty Little Liars" season 7B will feature the final 10 episodes of the series which will start airing on Tuesday, April 18 at 8 p.m. on Freeform.
