Ark: Survival Evolved Patch v256 In A Nutshell

Ark: Survival Evolved has become one of the most sought after titles of recent memory. Developer Studio Wildcard is definitely embracing the success the game has brought. Just recently, the studio has released the highly anticipated Patch v256, with a promise of interesting features and whatnots. Here's what the update is all about in a nutshell.

As announced in the official site of Ark: Survival Evolved, the aforementioned patch was introduced on March 31 at around noon Eastern Time. The video game company has also released its patch notes, giving the community an overview of what it is in a whole.

Ark: Survival Evolved Patch v256 brings a new mechanic, the Aquatic & Amphibious Creature Breeding. There's also a new dino called Equus, which is deemed to be a herbivore horse-like creature. This one here is meant to be a very trusty steed for player traversal. Another addition to the list of new creatures are the Leedsichthys and Ichthyornis. The former is basically a large fish, which can be tamed easily while the latter is a seagull that feasts of fish.

The Leedsichthys in Ark: Survival Evolved Patch v256 can be harvested from time to time for a tad of prime fish. The interesting part here? Well, it can be done without having to kill it. To complete the list of new species in the game is no other than the Iguanodon. This creature is a large herbivore in nature and is known for its ability to acquire fruits easily. Apart from that, it's a good companion in combat.

Aside from the aforementioned, new structures have also arrived to Studio Wildcard's tentpole title. There's this TEK Teleporter, as well as underwater bases. Ark: Survival Evolved Patch v256 also brought with it the TEK Mosa Saddle along with a power generator. Above all of these changes is the major upgrade the studio did on the game's Inventory Menu, as reported by IBTimes.
