The plot for season 3 has been revealed by the producer of “Outlander” and it is all about Gabaldon’s Voyager. Amidst the busy taping of the cast, Starz gave the green light to the actors and provided updates on their official Instagram account. The cast didn’t fail the fans as they shared snapshots on what is happening behind the scenes.

Main Plot And Critical Response

It is no secret that “Outlander” is one of the biggest TV series right now. Based on the current report from Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic, the show has a favorable rating - 9 out of 10. Numerous web magazines such as Huffington Post and Entertainment Weekly praise the show stating that it is a masterpiece and a premier A- rating. The show has also made it on the top 5 list of most-watched TV series regardless if it is in US or UK.

The cast and crew are currently filming in Cape Town South Africa. As mentioned by the producers, the creative team will stick with the plan and use the blueprint of Diana Gabaldon’s “Voyager”. However, the producer did mention that they will make various twists and turns to make the season more exciting. Season 3’s opening scene will be entirely different. Instead of the team doing the same thing for two seasons, “Outlander” decided to start in a battlefield.

Cast Having A Blast

The author of the series also made a splash and finally had a picture with the main cast. Gabaldon had been trying to stay away from the spotlight but with the current success that the series is doing, the fans might see Gabaldon more often. During their breaks, the main cast and crew find a way to lighten up and relax on set. Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are seen goofing around on the set. Heughan was also spotted riding a bike while others film their scene.
