Samsung Galaxy S8 Has Some Embarrassing New Issues

Recent reports of random reboots have started trickling into the Samsung's own Galaxy S8 forum and XDA Developers forums. The restarts are happening at random times on multiple carriers and with both Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones.

First reported by a source, complaints on the Samsung forum started from a week ago, with a forum member Lazazy stating: "So I picked up my Galaxy S8 and everything seems to be working well except the smartphone keeps restarting itself. I have had it for just about 10 hours now, and it has already restarted 7 times while I was using it." More so, complaints from other users, some handsets have restarted over five times within the first 10 hours of using the device.

One user also suggests Samsung customer service recommended booting the S8 device in safe mode, implying the abrupt restarts could be the result of issues which are related to third-party apps.
According to a source remarks, while "it's not uncommon for smartphones to require a restart or two when they're new and fresh out the box" Meanwhile, the company has already started rolling out its software fix for the reddish tint. Chances are, Samsung will drop a similar fix for the rebooting issue if it turns out to be software and not hardware related.

After the initial post, fellow users starting concording in with similar complaints. One user has the ill-fated experience of the app layout on the home screen resetting with every reboot. It's uncertain at this time what causes the issue. Others claim it might be related to the biometrics. Having both the fingerprint reader and the face recognition feature enabled at the same time cause to locks up the phone. Furthermore, Samsung has not officially addressed this Galaxy S8 issue for the time being.
