OnePlus 3 With HydrogenOS Gets This Cool New Upgrade For Music Lovers

If you're an avid music lover and a lucky OnePlus 3 owner, the latest HydrogenOS update may delightfully surprise you with its cool new musical upgrade. The newly released HydrogenOS version 12 (beta) has been equipped with capabilities to support aptX and aptX HD Bluetooth codecs. This means better music experience with the enhanced Bluetooth audio upgrade.

You'll get a lot more from your Bluetooth headphones through new upgrades from the latest HydrogenOS (H2OS). The Chinese version of the OxygenOS does not provide updates as frequent as the OxygenOS, but when it does, it makes sure that users' get the best new features available. It also ensures that OnePlus will have high-end smartphones that are up to date with new features and modifications to enhance user experience.

According to Android Authority, the latest Hydrogen OS upgrade for OnePlus 3 uses aptX which is basically a streaming protocol that delivers enhanced audio quality. It specifically acts on the Bluetooth function of any compatible devices. It's a unique feature that has just recently popped up in Android O, the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.

AptX reportedly offers the enhanced sound quality when streaming at higher bitrates. This means that this cool new upgrade can greatly interest you if you regularly subscribe to a music service or listen through Bluetooth headphones. OnePlus hopes, with the addition of aptX support, that the upgrade will provide customers with the best audio quality using Bluetooth connectivity.

According to Phone Arena, AptX support from HydrogenOS will become a standard fixture to all smartphones and tablets running Android O. Meanwhile, H2OS is basically aimed at OnePlus Chinese users, which is an alternative ROM for the brand's handset. It's compatible with all OnePlus devices used in the US, but the beta version is only available for the OnePlus 3 devices.
