NBA Trade Update: Porzingis Interested In Joining Clippers, Lakers Have Other Plans

Kristaps Porzingis of the New York Knicks just posted a very interesting IG post a few hours ago which he deleted immediately. Apparently, Porzingis wants to join the Clippers and it might happen next season. Also, the Lakers are putting all the chips on the line as the chase for Paul George just started.

Knicks Drama

The New York Knicks management especially Phil Jackson might be having nightmares right now as Porzingis shocked the NBA world with his revelation. Out of nowhere, the versatile power forward from Latvia posted his interest about the Los Angeles Clippers. The post might be deleted already but multiple Clippers fans were delighted when they heard the news.

Porzingis To Clippers?

For those who are not updated with the Knicks or Porzingis, they are currently having some issues together. Phil Jackson who is basically the center of all the problem on the Knicks franchise tried to get hold of Porzingis. The Latvian is not a fan of the drama that is surrounding New York right now which led to Porzingis opting not to join the exit interview for this season.

Time Is Ticking For The Lakers

On the other hand, the Los Angeles Lakers are making some moves since last week. According to a recent report and interview with Head Coach Luke Walton, they are all in with regards to Magic Johnson’s plans. Walton stated that they have the chance to pick one of the top draft picks next season. In case it won’t happen, there are few names on Magic’s list that he can target. The biggest name so far is Paul George. With Larry Bird out of the equation, Lakers have a strong case in landing the LA native.

However, their rival the Boston Celtics were not secretive about their plans in acquiring Paul George. As per insiders, Ainge will create an offer that Paul George cannot refuse which adds up to the historic rivalry between the two teams. The Lakers have missed and recorded their worst record for the past three years and this is the perfect time for them to upgrade their roster.
