Moto Z2 Play Leak Reveals Look And Launch Date

The latest Moto Z2 Play leak shows a clear picture of how the mid-range smartphone from Motorola would look like. The leaked high-resolution image details the front side of the device and, aside from the three color variants, sadly nothing more.

According to Phandroid, the new Moto Z2 Play press renders were released last weekend courtesy of Roland Quandt of "WinFuture". The Moto Z2 Play will come in black/gray, gold, and silver. The latter two models will have white front panels as seen in the leak.

Lenovo and Motorola unveiled an official advertisement for the Moto Z2 Play. The ad features the same suspender-wearing bearded hipster with the man bun present in the leaked press render. This time, the man is seen leaning on the side facing the popular "Hello Moto" tag phrase displayed under the Motorola logo. The Spanish equivalent to "You are invited to the next release of the Moto family" is also shown followed by "01.06.17 | 9h30" which clearly means the Moto Z2 Play will be officially launched on June 1 most probably in Latin America.

Previous rumors indicate that the Motorola handset will have support for Moto Mods similar to its predecessor. The latest Moto Z2 Play leak seems to confirm the rumor.

The Moto Z2 Play will sport a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. The mid-range smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 626 processor. It will also come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. It also has a microSD slot for memory expansion.

The Z2 Play is also expected to run Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box. It will come with a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery as confirmed previously by Lenovo.

The new Moto Z2 Play leak is only the latest of a number of speculations that have come out in recent months. All rumors will be laid to rest once the Moto Z2 Play is finally unveiled in a few days time.
