‘The Vampire Diaries’ And ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Crossover Hinted By Shows’ Bosses

“The Vampire Diaries” series may have concluded earlier this year, but it seems like it will be back for a special segment. There have been hints going around that the popular supernatural series will be making a crossover special with the thriller “Pretty Little Liars”.

The speculations of a possible crossover between the two popular series were ignited when I. Marlene King tweeted something that caught the attention of many fans. King developed the American teen drama thriller, “Pretty Little Liars”. She posted an invitation on Twitter, asking to sit down and talk with Julie Plec over a cup of coffee since they have been bumping into each other a lot lately. Plec is the creator of the now defunct series, “The Vampire Diaries”. It would have been a harmless tweet between show creators but King noticeably asked Plec to talk about making television.

Thanks to this little Twitter post, fans of the two shows are going crazy over the possibility of crossing over “The Vampire Diaries” with “Pretty Little Liars”. However, even if that is not the case, fans have expressed that they are still excited about this coffee meeting and they will look forward to any project that Plec and King will work on together. King is said to be working on a spinoff series of “Pretty Little Liars” and it might be a television show adaptation of the novels “The Perfectionists”, which was written by the same author of “Pretty Little Liars”. Fans are hoping that Plec will be on board for the production of the rumored spinoff if the crossover is not happening.

The CW series “The Vampire Diaries” ended its run in March 2017 after airing for eight seasons. “Pretty Little Liars” on the other hand is about to end its seventh season on June 21. Freeform confirmed and announced that “Pretty Little Liars” Season 7 will be the final season of the show.
