Moto X may have 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 10-megapixel camera and more

Motorola has already confirmed that they are working on a Moto X device. The latest specifications of the handset comes courtesy a tweet from noted tipster @evleaks who had also posted some images of what could be the Moto X.

The @evleaks tweet reads, "Motorola moto x: 1.7GHz dual-core MSM8960 Pro, 720p, 2GB/16GB, 10MP/2MP, Android 4.2.2."

Rumors of the Moto X have been very frequent and some reports have suggested that the Motorola X Phone may also be a line-up of smartphones with customizable hardware.

Recently, Motorola CEO, Dennis Woodside, announced that they are working on a "hero device." Woodside said "We have a hero device that's coming out that's going to be called Moto X." However, he didn't disclose any more information of the Moto X.

The highly-anticipated Moto X is supposed to have top-end features and will give stiff competition to other high-end smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One, iPhone 5 and more.

Speculations suggest that the Moto X will sport a 4.7-inch display with 1280 x 768 resolution protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Rumors also indicate that the Moto X will be water resistant and dust proof with IP57 certification. The @evleaks tweet suggests that the Moto X will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system though previous reports point towards Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

The handset is rumored to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core Krait 400 CPU and a massive 4,000 mAh battery.

It's speculated that the handset will make its appearance in June or July this year, but it may get delayed till August.
