'Apex Legends Mobile' Limited Regional Launch Begins: See Which 10 Countries are Participating

"Apex Legends Mobile" is now released.

However, only players in the ten chosen countries can enjoy the game on their mobile phones. According to the announcement of Respawn Entertainment's Apex Legends team, the mobile version of the hit hero shooter game, "Apex Legends," can only enjoy a limited regional launch in the meantime.

Both Respawn Entertainment and Lightspeed & Quantum Studios are developing "Apex Legends Mobile."

Details on 'Apex Legends Mobile's' Limited Release

The game's developers wanted a limited regional launch for the game to give them the opportunity to test its matchmaking and progression systems, backend infrastructure, in-game commerce, and regional live operations capabilities.

Players of the game will be able to play its Battle Royale mode on the game's classic World's Edge map. The game will also come with new and returning game modes, such as Team Deathmatch, Mini Battle Royale, 3v3 Arenas, and competitive Ranked Battle Royale matches.

Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that Bloodhound, Gilbraltar, Lifeline, Wraith, Bangalore, Octane, Mirage, and Pathfinder will be available on the game's limited regional launch.

Caustic will also be available to the game. However, players will have to reach Battle Pass tier 25 to unlock him as a playable character.

Much like its PC and console counterpart, "Apex Legends Mobile" will feature an in-game store that offers purchasable content. Players can find themed, time-limited Store vaults, Lite Crates, and Apex Packs here.

The in-game store will also have options for crafting and the ability to purchase personally-curated cosmetic items in the "For You" tab. It is also in the game's store that you can purchase a premium Battle Pass through the Battle Pass page or a PremiumPLUS Battle Pass with bonus levels, experience points, and rewards.

Players can access the store until May 3, the last day of the game's limited regional launch. Additionally, account progress earned during the limited regional launch will be reset before the game officially launches worldwide.

Although items earned during the limited regional launch will also be reset, Respawn Entertainment will convert these items into the game's in-game currency of an equivalent value and will be immediately available to limited regional launch players' accounts once the game officially launches.

Simply put, "Mobile Legends Mobile" players who participated in the game's limited regional launch can buy back the items they earned during the limited regional launch.

Rewards for Participation and How to Get It

As a token of appreciation to players who participated during the game's limited regional launch, Respawn Entertainment will give them a 25 percent bonus in-game currency. Limited Regional Launch players will also get the Legend skins earned at the end of the Battle Pass.

The bonus in-game currency and skins will be available to collect once the game officially launches worldwide.

Additionally, limited release launch players will get a limited badge, weapon charm, and banner frame at the game's official launch depending on the number of matches played during the game's limited release. The badge, weapon charm, and banner frame can be acquired after playing two, five, and 10 matches, respectively.

However, limited regional launch players will have to use the same account they made to participate in the game's limited release to collect these rewards.

Countries that have 'Apex Legends Mobile'

"Apex Legends Mobile" is available to players in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, and Colombia on March 7 at 4 PM Pacific Standard Time.

Respawn Entertainment did not specify why it chose these countries to test the game's features and capabilities.

Is Crossplay between different platforms possible?

While the original "Apex Legends" and its mobile counterpart both occur in the same universe, they will be on separate servers. This separation is due to "Apex Legends Mobile" being a standalone game that comes with controls, social features, and game modes tailor-fitted for mobile play.

As such, cross-play between the original and mobile versions of the game is impossible to achieve.
