Netflix's 'Tekken: Bloodline' Trailer

Netflix's anime adaptation of Tekken will be based on the story of the King of Iron Fist Tournament from the perspective of Jin Kazama.

As reported by The Verge, the official trailer that was released showed where the initial teaser left off, showing a close glimpse of Jin Kazama training with his grandfather, Heihachi Mishima.

It then proceeds to clips showing the King of Iron Fist Tournament, the protagonist training with his strength to overcome multiple battles hoping to avenge the death of her mother, Jun Kazama at the hands of the mighty Ogre.

According to Polygon, Heihachi provides some eerie narration in the background as heard in the trailer. Heihachi stated:

"Kazama. Think of your helplessness when Ogre killed your mother. In order to defeat him, you must purge the Kazama pacifism and stoke your Mishima fire. I'm going to tear you down completely, then I will build you back up. Your body will be a weapon. Mishima style is the only way."

Some of the characters that were seen in the release teaser last month and the official trailer of Tekken: Bloodline today are King, Hwoarang, Leroy Smith, Nina Williams, Ling Xiaoyu, Julia Chang, Paul, and Kazuya.

Tekken: Bloodline Original Story

Netflix released an official teaser last month to the Geeked Weeknd event, interviewing Bandai Namco's Katsuhiro Harada, the chief producer and team leader of Tekken: Bloodline.

The chief producer shared what the anime series would be like on the streaming platform.

According to Harada, parts of the original story were only written in words and will show the kind of life and what kind or conversations they had that Jin Kazama had with his mother, Jun Yakushima.

The story of the anime will be based on the events in Tekken 3 of 1997, it is speculated that it may follow it entirely.

If so, the anime adaptation will be Jin becoming a typical hero, tormented by his heroic mother and his villainous father Kazuya, with compelling reasons that may be easily tainted by the well-known real villain Heihachi.

There have been numerous volumes in the tekken series. The Tekken producer bragged with a smile that the games have the longest-running plot in the history of video games, and that they have now been turned into an anime series for the first time.

'Tekken: Bloodline' on August 18

Netflix's Tekken: Bloodline anime was based on the video game Tekken that was developed by a Japanese publishing company Bandai Namco in 1994.

The video game became such a huge hit worldwide and led itself to numerous adaptations on films and multiple game spin-offs. The game also followed Tekken 2 and Tekken 3 for sequels.

Tekken is a Japanese word that translates to "Iron Fist." Netflilx coined the term "power is everything" for the game. Tekken: Bloodline release date will be on August 18.

According to Netflix, at an early age, Jin Kazama studied Kazama-Style Traditional Martial Arts with his mother, the family self-defense discipline.

An unforeseen life changing event happened to him when he saw a monstrous evil destroy everything he holds dear.

Jin promised revenge and desired total power to exact it, furious at himself for being powerless to stop it. The King of Iron Fist Tournament, the pinnacle of combat on a grand scale, will be reached as a result of his mission.
