Free up Memory on iPhone by Extracting iPhone Data to PC

If your iPhone's storage becomes full, one option is to free up memory by extracting iPhone Data to a PC. You can possibly transfer some of your files to your computer, to your external hard drive, or to a USB flash drive.

According to Mini Tool, you can easily transfer the files from your iPhone to your PC using a professional iOS data extractor tool. The MiniTool Mobile Recovery for iOS can help you move your files to your PC, or your external hard drive.

Make sure your iPhone is Optimizing Photo Storage

Photos usually occupy the biggest space on your iPhone. But do you know that you can set your iPhone to save smaller photo files? You can actually do something on your iPhone's settings menu in order to save smaller photo files. This is particularly useful in case your device is low on storage.

All you have to do is go to the Settings app. Afterward, go to Photos, and just ensure that the Optimize iPhone Storage option has a blue checkmark.

Delete Unused Apps on Your iPhone

You have loaded your iPhone with apps, and perhaps you are no longer using some of them. In case your iPhone storage is full already, check out the apps that are taking up so much space.

To check the apps' storage consumption, go to Settings, then go to General, and finally, go to iPhone Storage. There, you will find a list of apps and storage space that they take up. Review each app and remove those that you are no longer using.

To free up space on iPhone documents and data, simply choose and delete the app. Just tap the Delete App option, and the Documents and Data will be removed as well.

Save Photos and Videos to a Cloud Service Instead of on Your Device

According to CNET, another solution to free up your storage is to try storing your photos and videos in a third-party cloud storage. One example of such is Google Photos. Through this, you still have a copy of your photos and videos while freeing some storage in your iPhone.

But here's one caution, ensure that you have backed up your photos and videos in a third-party cloud storage before permanently deleting them from your iPhone, otherwise, they'll be deleted forever.

Automatically Delete Old Messages

Aside from photos, videos, and apps, old text messages also occupy your storage. Therefore, another way to free up your storage is to delete old messages. Your iPhone can be set to automatically delete your message history.

To do this, simply open Settings, then choose Messages. Tap the Keep Messages option under Message History and choose from the options of keeping it for 30 days, one year, or forever.
